1. Dua Lipa
Seeing Dua Lipa headline the Pyramid Stage was an unexpected delight. As the sun set, her performance of “Levitating” had the entire crowd in a euphoric state. It’s hard to believe that just a few years ago, she was featured in FAULT Magazine in 2017. Her journey from those early days to now is remarkable. Every song, every dance move proved she deserved that spot. Naysayers were put to rest as her catalogue of hits echoed through the night. Relive her early days in FAULT Magazine here.
2. Janelle Monáe
Janelle Monáe’s Sunday slot on the Pyramid Stage was pure magic. From the moment she stepped on stage, her energy was infectious. Singing hits like “Pink” and “Tightrope,” she transformed the field into a vibrant celebration. Her vocals were otherworldly, surpassing even her recordings. It’s a shame she clashed with another big act, but those who chose her were rewarded with one of the best performances of the festival. Anne-Marie’s set on the Other Stage was a powerhouse performance. Her voice carried far beyond the stage, and her rendition of “Rockabye Baby” had the crowd singing along in unison. Starting her set atop several mattresses was a visual treat, and the surprise appearance by Aitch during “Psycho” sent the audience into a frenzy.
