Quiksilver releases the third instalment of its Originals Collection.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned this Fashion Week season, it’s that 2020 is all about bold patterns and relaxed cuts and today we’re pleasantly surprised to see Quiksilver emerge with a collection that’s right on the money.

Quiksilver found its roots within the Australian surfing community in the early 1970s but much like Van’s, Karl Kani, HUF., it wouldn’t be long before the brand started growing a dedicated following away from their original niche audience.

Quiksilver has chosen to connect directly with the consumer of which the collection is made by having it modelled by a selection creative and upcoming talent from across the world.

Through the campaign, shoppers have the chance to shop the specific look of each model. Each comes with their own unique creative flair Phoebe Taylor is the lead singer of Australian band Bitch Diesel, Miki Kim is a graphic designer and tattoo artist from Seoul, Andy Nieblas hails from California and is described as a perpetual chiller. Fashion and function look to be at the heart of this Quiksilver Originals collection with his and her psychedelic tie-dye patterned polar fleece and swimwear to match. Bold Patterns and colours again appear mainly within the womenswear pieces with the above look being one of our favourites from the collection. The camp shirt cut should also allow for this to be worn as a unisex piece with sizes being available online up to xl.

 

Along with other more vibrant pieces, the collection also features some more tones down heritage colours and clothing cuts. Key wardrobe staples such as linen shorts, patterned shirts and box jackets also appear within the collection.

 

All in all, it’s a strong collection, vibrant where it needs to be but also the inclusion of more relaxed styles proves that the brand is aware of its consumers’ needs. Quiksilver Originals modelled by and created for its consumer is a surefire recipe for success.
