Jack Garratt returns after a near four-year break from music
It’s been nearly four years to the day since Jack Garratt released his debut album ‘Phase’ that launched the musician to new heights. However while taking home the Brits Critics’ Choice prize, and BBC Sound of 2016 should usually a time of celebration for emerging talents, Jack has been very open about the self-doubt, crippling anxiety and self-sabotage that plagued his life as a result of these unrequested accolades.
In his own words, Garratt remarks how “when I put out the first album, I stopped dancing in public. I just stopped moving.”
After taking some time off to rediscover the artist he truly is, Jack Garratt is ready to release music once more. Like all things, art takes time and today Jack Garratt has released a long-form visual piece, ‘Love, Death & Dancing – a film by Jack Garratt’, of which the first instalment is appropriately entitled ‘Time’ (see what we did there.)
‘Time’ shows us a Garret we haven’t seen in the past, it’s clear that Garratt has spent his time away from the industry evolving into a far more confident performer and vocalist.
Garratt has also announced that the release date for his new album ‘Love, Death & Dancing’ is set on 29th May 2020 through Island Records. It is available for pre-order HERE
Jack will also be going on tour but be quick as dates are already sold out!
