East Vancouver native Phé is R&B’s new rising star

East Vancouver native Phé was drawn the music at an early age, finding any reason she could to perform. Her penchant for songwriting would lead her to Berklee College of Music where she studied vocal performance, songwriting, and music business for 4 years on a full scholarship. Now calling Los Angeles her home, the independent singer/songwriter has honed her craft and has started to make a name for herself as one to watch in the R&B space.

With a carefree attitude, a unique smoky delivery, Phé is bringing back ’90s R&B through a fresh and modern lens by channeling influences like Erykah Badu, Sade and Lauryn Hill, with her own raw and real spirit.

Phé returns with her new colorful single and video for “wtv, it’s cool.” The video comes as a colorful social commentary on our current digital generation. Exploring the ever-present feelings of detachment and loneliness that plagues young people around the world today. Phé dives in through the lens of her own personal relationships, sharing “this single takes a look at the deterioration of face to face interactions within our personal relationships in what is now a very digital world.”
