Prince reveals two brand new albums for this September
Back in April we all partied (like it was 1999) when we received news that Price had re-signed with Warner Bros. Records. After chasing Prince around London trying to catch him at a secret gig, we are very excited to hear that this September fans will be treated by not one but two albums by one of the last remaining performers who is worthy of being called ‘legendary’.
The first album entitled ‘Art Official Age’ is a 13-track solo album which is currently being sold as a ‘classic Prince album’. The record which is being described as a ‘contemporary concoction of soul, R&B and funk’, which basically reads as ‘everything fans love about Prince’s music in one album’. Prince is firmly in the driving seat in the production of this whole album fully crafted by himself and Joshua Welton.
The second album is performed by Prince and his band 3RDEYEGIRL and has been entitled ‘Plextrumelecrtum’. Many of the tracks on this album fans will remember from the ‘Hit & Run’ tour earlier this year. After a secret performance at Camden’s Electric Ballroom back in January, we were first brought to the attention of the new band and fans have been eagerly awaiting this record for many months.
