NYFW Feb ’14: DAY 4 – Eckhaus Latta AW14

Structured comfort continues at Eckhaus Latta. This time around bringing the brands strange aliens to the quiet pastures of martian farm lands. The brands use of contrasting fabrics were executed with a delightful play between clashing textures and shape. An architectural velvet crop top was paired with a rabbit fur halter creating a strong pod silhouette. Deconstructed surplus wool blankets were made into yarn and knitted to chunky perfection. The over all play of lengths and proportions worked well with the neutral and muted color pallet. This collection overall pushed a strong and stripped down version of latter day bohemianism.
