FAULT Future – The Underground Youth

Shades of the Velvet Underground mingle with a touch of Joy Division on Manchester-based The Underground Youth‘s track, ‘I Need You’, which features on the Reverberation Appreciation Society’s compilation album The Reverb Conspiracy – Volume 1 (reviewed here). The self-defined shoegaze/psychadelic rock trio also remind us of the likes of Singapore Sling and Dead Skeletons with their stripped back, garage-grunge guitar and vocal style; while the haunting melody gives a nod to the Howling Bells‘Low Happening’.

The track is on The Underground Youth‘s album ‘Delirium’, available as a limited (500 copy) 180g vinyl edition or via digital download – http://www.theundergroundyouth.com/
