No more fangs
Month number three with my braces, and I think it’s safe to say I am getting used to them! I am still a little bit obsessed by glancing in shop windows to see what they look like, but am now merrily chatting away without a care in the world! All the people who know me, just say that it sounds like I am eating a sweet at the same time (which isn’t unkown as I have been a candy fan in my time) so I can cope with that! But for new client meets, I must admit I remove them as I find I suck on them when I’m a bit nervous (which is not such a good look!!) And I don’t really want to be removing them in the meeting- although this could be a bit of an ice-breaker!
And then there are the friends I haven’t seen for a long time, who are amazed I’ve finally bitten the bullet and gone for braces at all! “Oh but I loved your fangs!!” Only to be met, by my, “what fangs???” as I whip out my braces to reveal a fairly straight right tooth… The left one seems a lot more stubborn, and the lovely Dr Tim at the London Smile Clinic, has told me that my braces will have to be sent for a bit of tinkering to help the tooth turn. I can’t wait for that!
This is about the only time when I actually look forward to going to the dentist, as when I leave I am always told that I am doing well and to keep up the good work- which to be honest is quite easy! With a trip to Spain coming up, I think the Inman lisp might even be a benefit to my pigeon Espanol!!
