Sofia Coppola has curated an exhibition by photographer and artist Robert Mapplethorpe. Mapplethorpe was best known for his controversial images which captured the underground scene during the 70s and 80s in New York. Coppola however has produced a show which portrays his imagery in a very different light. Focusing on the softer side of Mapplesthorpe’s artist vision. Robert Mapplethorpe by Sofia Coppola opens Nov 25th at Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, Paris, and will run until January 7 2012.
