Paper, scissors, rock…. PAPER!

Designers Nikki Salk and Amy Flurry came to my attention whilst I was studying fashion design at college. At the time they were my inspiration for a paper based wig project I was about to undertake; their work wildly fascinated me, it broke the boundaries of creating something beautiful out of something so simple and every-day.

This week these two women came back to my attention, and for a reason that’s worth celebrating. Salk and Flurry have recently been commissioned to create more paper wonders to accessorize the women of Jen Kao’s runway show. After an impressive CV boasting their collaborations with Cartier and Hermès, I couldn’t wait to see what they had in store…
