The Queen of Clashing; Mary Katrantzou

Is anyone else terrified by the idea of wearing clashing prints this winter? It’s a trend that’s said to be huge but it’s also one of those styles that’s actually a lot easy said than done. Saying that, when you look to the catwalks for inspiration it’s hard not to find yourself totally exhilarated and keen to try it out for yourself. Basso & Brooke definitely stole the show for digital printed dresses whilst Matthew Williamson’s bohemian influenced geometric patterns on jackets had us mesmerised. But the prints that had us both dizzy and delighted had to go to Mary Katrantzou. Clearly inspired by oriental ways of life, erupting with colour and structurally similar to haute couture design, her garment design definitely earns her the title… The Queen of Clashing.
