Sara Bro-Jorgensen- Future Fashion Talent

Getting to write about the designers I like is a real privilege and when I first came across Sara Bro-Jorgensen a couple of seasons ago at the LFW exhibition, it was no disappointment.

Her talent was picked up by those clever people at Vauxhall Fashion Scout as she was selected to show as one of the coveted ‘Ones To Watch’.

Hailing from Denmark, Sara is a Royal College of Art graduate, whose work draws from 2D imagery. She gained inspiration for her knitwear and graphic prints and AW11/12 from Kuna Indians and ski wear- neither of which we see much of in London, so the originality is apparent.; She has also stated that silent films are an important factor to her designs, and if she could create a wardrobe for any silent movie, it would be Metropolis.

With only two collections so far, she is making a mark with Fashion Editors- with monochrome as a key, her fusion of print, knit and soft dreamy layers, which although dark and moody are incredibly girly and can be styled in many different ways.

I cant wait to see what she has in store for SS12. Watch this space..
