A new album from the group Love will be released On June 7 called Black Beauty, the new reissue will be out via label High Moon Records. LOVE hailed from Los Angeles and was founded by musical genius Arthur Lee. Lee’s personal style, lyrics and early mateiral had an strong influence on such legendary acts as The Doors and Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix first ever known recording was Arthur’s tune My Diary. Love had numerous members and line-up changes throughout the band’s career and they where also one of the first racially diverse American groups. Their music was a blend of genres rock-n-roll, garage, psychedelic, R&B; combing these different influences and elements truly gave them a unique sound. The new full-length is a 10 track ep of lost material from 1973 that was never officially released due to their label Buffalo Records going under. Black Beauty was produced by Paul Rothchild who also worked with the Doors, Janis Joplin and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. High Moon will release LP on CD, vinyl, and digital download also included is bonus tracks and unreleased photos. A “new” single from the forthcoming album was released last week called SKID. The “new” track is a must listen since LOVE is a classic FAULT .
