Jhon Allan releases electrifying new single, ‘ARI’

Swedish-Peruvian songwriter, producer and rising visionary Jhon Allan is one to watch in 2025. After gaining global traction in the alternative scene with two self-produced and self-released EPs, his latest single, ‘ARI’, drops on Valentine’s Day via Genesis Records. Capturing the electrifying spark of a dance-floor romance, ‘ARI’ highlights his rich, playful, and genre-defying sound, with influences ranging from ’90s hip-hop to rock. The song is part of a bigger story about a personal journey toward love and hope which will be brought to life through sound and video as part of the full EP.
Born in 2000 in a Stockholm suburb to a Swedish mom and Latin American dad, Jhon Allan’s early musical influences were diverse. He began spinning records at small venues at the age of 11 and later honed his skills as a jazz pianist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. With the ability to capture the essence of any emotion with striking authenticity, he effortlessly moves between genres, cultures, and personas, forging a path uniquely his own, influenced by an eclectic mix of teenage obsessions including Pink Floyd, D’Angelo and The Beatles.
After self-releasing and producing two EPs – punk-driven ‘Just a Phase’ and alt-pop-tinged ‘Nothing’s TMI’, which landed on global playlists such as NMF US, All New Indie and Lorem – ‘ARI’ serves as the first single from his third EP, set for release in June. This smooth track carries a timeless charm, blending warm beats and electric guitars into a rhythmic, playful fusion of R&B, reggae, ska, ’90s hip-hop, and rock. It conjures a dreamlike universe where you meet that special someone on the dance floor, and everything falls into place.
“‘ARI’ is the soundtrack to a perfect love story beginning on the dance floor. I wanted to capture that instant connection and raw chemistry. It’s probably the least deep track I have ever released lyrically, but when this feeling hits, nothing is complicated. I was heartbroken when I wrote it, so it’s really me staring out of the window daydreaming.”
