Eden Rain Drop Emotionally Charged New Single “Closer”
Rising star Eden Rain is back with a powerful new single, “Closer”. Following the critical acclaim of her EP “But I’m Alright Now,” Rain delivers a deeply personal track exploring themes of love, loss, and navigating grief within a relationship.
Eden Rain’s hypnotic tone is other worldly throughout the track, and the production is impeccable for its ability to take listeners to new realms of existence around the 2:12 mark.
Her evocative lyrics capture the profound helplessness and pain of witnessing a loved one struggle “I want to help but don’t know how, do we just wait it out”. The accompanying DIY music video, crafted with Rain’s signature aesthetic, further enhances the song’s emotional depth.
Eden Rain : “It’s definitely been my most cathartic song to write- I wrote this song about my experience of loving someone who is going through grief. It’s about the feeling of someone being so close to you but unreachable at the same time, the pain of not knowing how to be around them or knowing that you’re powerless in helping them. I wrote it one afternoon with Conway (halfrhymes) and then I cried all the way home on the tube listening to the demo.”
Her vulnerability shines through, offering listeners a glimpse into her personal journey. Since the release of her EP, Eden Rain has captivated audiences with captivating live performances. In 2023, she supported Lola Young and headlined a sold-out gig, solidifying her presence in the music scene.
With this release it’s clear Eden Rain is showing no signs of slowing down,
