Humane The Moon Releases new single “I Saw A Dog”
Humane The Moon is the emerging artist making waves with his no nonsense yet hopeful lyricism and ability to convey the beauty of life’s little moments into strong staccato-laden anthems for a generation full of angst but no where near defeated.
Today Human The Moon releases his latest track ‘I Saw A Dog’, inspired by a routine drive home from work and in the midst of the gloomy January evening, he witnessed a heartwarming sight: someone knelt beside their dog, both wearing smiles. It was a fleeting yet profound moment of joy that brought light to his life during a time of personal struggle and mourning.
The song is a poignant reflection on the transience of life and the importance of finding meaning in the simple pleasures. It’s a reminder that even in life’s darkest moments, there is beauty to be found. As Humane The Moon eloquently puts it, “What’s the point in all this trying? I’ll tell you for why, in time.” Perhaps it’s an ode to acceptance or simply a song about the unconditional love of dogs either way, the song continues to be a moving anthem for the budding musician.
“ Like most these tracks on the project, I wrote the lyrics for ‘I saw a dog’ on my way from work; In Bermondsey this time, emergency lighting for the council.
Driving back in that 5pm January darkness, at the lights I saw someone knelt by their dog smiling. I found myself smiling at the sight of it. (I was going through it a bit at the time to be honest, mourning the passing of my beloved uncle amongst other things.) It was a glimpse of joy, brief but meaningful I reckon.“
While Humane The Moon references key influences as being Joy Division, King Krule, and Bloc Party, he thankfully is plotting his own path with a simple and unwavering commitment to creating music with a purpose. With this new single and his strong debut track “A Track In Orbit,” the foundation is set for his forthcoming debut EP, “Mythomania.”
