Valentina Moretti steps into a sharper, darker space with the premiere of ‘Doctor Machin (Tommie Sunshine & On Deck Remix)’, a rework that reframes the intent of her debut release while amplifying its club-ready edge.

Originally introduced as part of her Soy Machin project, ‘Doctor Machin’ arrived as a statement of intent – both sonically and conceptually. Now, through the lens of Tommie Sunshine and On Deck, the track evolves into something heavier, more industrial, and more attuned to the lineage of underground dance music that informs its DNA.

Released via CyberFetish Records, the remix leans into a darker palette. Industrial textures underpin the track while house-driven momentum keeps it moving forward, creating a tension between grit and propulsion.

For Sunshine, the remix process was about unlocking a different dimension of an already fully realised idea. Drawing from decades within electronic music culture, his interpretation respects the original’s foundation while extending its reach into more nocturnal territory.

At the centre of it all is Moretti’s Soy Machin project, her most personal work to date. The title itself reclaims a derogatory Spanish phrase – “Soy Machin” is Spanish street slang for “I am a man,” a phrase hurled at trans women to demean them – repositioning it within a framework of empowerment and identity.

CyberFetish Records, co-founded with Mark Gartenberg, serves as an extension of that vision, positioning itself as a platform for boundary-pushing electronic music.

With this second release on the label, Moretti continues to define the parameters of her world – one that is as rooted in underground history as it is forward-facing.
