Parallelle, the French sibling electronica double act, have finally unveiled their long-awaited album 11th Avenue – an eleven-track collection that radiates warmth, groove, and sophistication. Released via their Lisbon-based label, FOLDER, the record arrives alongside the launch of their North American Tour, proof that the de Bie brothers are thriving on all fronts after recently performing for more than 20,000 fans in Lisbon.

The essence of the record lies in its homage to the refined elegance of 1980s New York jazz lounges. To achieve this, the duo uses their musical expertise with analog equipment, crafting an authentically vintage sound. Yet, the album feels distinctly modern, infused with an electronic pulse made for today’s clubs. For this release, they collaborated with several artists, including Fulltone, Nicolas Masseyeff, Allysha Joy, Sacks, JoLy, and Dino Lenny, who helped the duo refine the sound and style of the record.

Leading the project is ‘The Collab’, where Parallelle teamed up with Dino Lenny. The result is a track that pays homage to early 2000s French house, characterized by its energy and groove. A gritty, distorted bass line by Alessandro Mazzieri gives the tune a unique edge, one that will definitely stick with you.

“Dino is a man who shares our very questionable sense of humour,” Parallelle shared. “The story actually started in a bit of chaos. We were supposed to drive together to Tomorrowland Winter but got stuck in traffic and were running late. Dino wasn’t exactly thrilled at first. But five minutes in, between jokes and ridiculous stories, we realized we had the same twisted humour, and the ride turned from terrible to terrific. When we later asked him to make a track for our upcoming album, he went full Dino mode and re-recorded our entire phone conversation, impersonating our French accent. That voice note alone could make it to the album’s best moments.”

Other highlights include ‘Tastes Like Gold’, a hypnotic groove layered with rich basslines, driving percussion, and enigmatic synths. Joly’s hazy vocals drift in and out, giving the track a living, breathing quality. ‘Searching For The Groove’ thrives on vibrant percussion and expressive vocals, while ‘Mind, Body & Soul’ offers a futuristic take on dubby tech house, lifted by Allysha Joy’s remarkable voice.

11th Avenue is a refined, cohesive body of work that amplifies everything Parallelle stands for. Their collaborations with influential artists paid off, resulting in a listening experience that feels both unique and timeless.

Parallelle is taking the music worldwide with an ambitious tour that kicks off at London’s KOKO on October 31. Upcoming stops include Marbella, Toronto, Montreal, and New York City, followed by dates in Mexico City, Miami, and Washington, D.C. The journey then moves west to Los Angeles and San Francisco before heading through Amsterdam, Istanbul, and Jericoacoara, Brazil. It will conclude in Punta del Este, Uruguay, on New Year’s Eve. Wherever they play, expect the duo to bring the full energy and spirit of 11th Avenue to life on stage.
