Jakke drops ‘Without Peace’, a mix of Alt Rock and Club Culture

Jakke

After releasing music under the name Enjune, Jake Goble decided to take a new approach to his artistry, stepping away from traditional sounds and diving into something more unconventional, raw, and edgy. This shift gave birth to his latest persona: the alt-dance project known as Jakke.

Jakke’s musical roots run deep. He grew up playing in punk and jam bands during his high school years. In college, his palette expanded as he explored various genres, eventually gravitating toward electronic music—a realm where he truly found his stride. His experiences writing music for different genres helped shape his musical identity and deepen his understanding of performance and production.

Enjune earned Goble a degree of recognition and prestige within the LA music scene. But during the pandemic, he found himself experimenting with his sound—writing and recording dance music with a newfound passion. The result was a bold decision: to launch an entirely new project. Under the alias Jakke, Goble forged a sound that could best be described as the love child of alt-rock and electronic dance music.

His latest single, ‘Without Peace‘, is a strong reflection of his musical ethos, rooted in dance beats yet laced with alt-rock undertones. The rhythm is hypnotic and irresistible, but what truly captivates is Jakke’s vocal delivery. His verses unfold with a seductive resonance—one that lingers in the mind long after the song ends. Beneath the groove lies a message of connection and compassion, a call to offer love when confronted with conflict.

“I wrote this song as a reminder to myself and others that love, at its best, is a practice,” says Jakke. “It’s not about avoiding friction, but about being able to return to a space of softness. When we breathe through the noise, when we’re honest and vulnerable, we get back to something sacred.”

‘Without Peace’ is a sensual meditation wrapped in a dancefloor-ready package. At its heart is a profound truth: real love doesn’t thrive in tension. It flourishes in stillness, in presence, in peace.

If Jakke’s evolution is any indication, this new chapter is a whole new book. One that invites you to dance your way inward, breathe through the chaos, and maybe, just maybe, find a little harmony in the noise.
