HADERLUMP SOLIVAGANT AW25 Unveils a Journey Through Time at Berlin Fashion Week 2025

Berlin’s S-Bahn Werk Schöneweide is more than just a relic of the city’s transport history. On Saturday evening, it became a theatre of movement, memory, and fashion as HADERLUMP unveiled its AW25 collection, SOLIVAGANT. As guests boarded historic S-Bahn trains at Ostbahnhof, they weren’t merely traveling to a show; they were stepping into a world where nostalgia and modernity collided.

Under the creative direction of Johann Ehrhardt, HADERLUMP has continuously explored themes of movement, identity, and craftsmanship. SOLIVAGANT—a term meaning “wandering alone”—marks both a continuation and a conclusion of this narrative. With this collection, the brand weaves the romance of 1950s train travel into contemporary design, producing garments that tell both personal and collective stories.

The show space, an industrial cathedral of steel and echoes, provided the perfect backdrop for HADERLUMP’s exploration of solitude and travel. Models moved with a deliberate pace, embodying passengers from a bygone era—each step a story, each garment a chapter.

Wool and denim, reminiscent of train upholstery and uniforms, were transformed through intricate textile techniques. The colour palette—dominated by black, grey, and blue, with striking red accents—paid homage to the aesthetics of historic railways. Structured coats and tailored suits recalled the elegance of mid-century travel, while contemporary reinterpretations kept the collection firmly grounded in the now.

In keeping with its progressive approach, HADERLUMP integrated sustainability in unexpected ways. Materials were sourced from eBay, repurposing elements of the past to create something entirely new. Among the standout pieces was a retro stroller reimagined into a futuristic accessory by industrial designer Marian Herget—an object that, much like the collection itself, bridged the gap between eras.

Since its debut in 2023, HADERLUMP has made a name for itself as one of Berlin’s most compelling fashion voices. Each collection pushes the boundaries of urban aesthetics while maintaining an emotional core. With SOLIVAGANT, the label refines its signature: a blend of history, innovation, and a deeply personal exploration of identity.

With SOLIVAGANT, HADERLUMP builds upon the foundations laid in their past collections, refining their distinctive aesthetic while pushing their storytelling further. Last season’s designs impressed with their expert leatherwork, intricate quilting, and confident silhouettes, and this season continues that evolution with a fresh perspective on movement and nostalgia. The interplay between structure and fluidity remains a defining feature, but this time, historical references—particularly the romance of 1950s train travel—add a new depth to the label’s vision. Just as their past collections have explored self-confidence and strength, SOLIVAGANT delves into solitude and personal journeys, proving once again why HADERLUMP is one of Berlin’s most compelling design voices. As the final model stepped off the runway, the echoes of movement lingered—a reminder that fashion, much like travel, is never static. HADERLUMP has crafted a collection that is as much about the past as it is about the future, proving once again that the journey is just as important as the destination.
