Roskilde Festival 2025 Announces First Wave of Artists, Including Stormzy, Arca, and Fontaines D.C.
Get ready to immerse yourself in a one-of-a-kind music festival experience as Roskilde Festival 2025 unveils its first wave of artists. This annual Danish festival, known for its non-profit mission and deep-rooted sense of community, promises another unforgettable lineup of musical talent, spanning genres and nationalities. From June 28 to July 5, 2025, festival-goers will experience more than just music: Roskilde brings together art, activism, and community for eight days just outside Copenhagen.
Festival Lineup: From Icons to Emerging Artists
Leading the initial lineup is UK rapper Stormzy, whose previous Roskilde performances in 2016 and 2018 were unforgettable. This time, he’s back as a headliner on the newly expanded Orange Stage, which is now twice its former size. “Returning as a headliner feels like a big milestone,” Stormzy shared, expressing excitement for what he promises will be a memorable performance.
Alongside Stormzy, festival-goers can look forward to genre-bending artists like Venezuelan electronic producer Arca and Irish rockers Fontaines D.C., as well as alternative pop duo Magdalena Bay and Faye Webster. Roskilde’s FAULTLess commitment to diversity in music is evident with acts spanning from Ethiopian jazz composer Esy Tadesse to the Lebanese post-folk band Sanam. Other notable additions include UK indie icon Beth Gibbons, frontwoman of the legendary band Portishead, and Danish pop star MØ.
With over 170 acts expected across eight stages, Roskilde Festival 2025 has something for everyone. You can see the full list of confirmed artists on the Roskilde Festival website.
A Festival with a Cause
Roskilde Festival is unique not only for its artist lineup but for its core mission. Operating as a non-profit since 1972, the festival donates all proceeds to humanitarian and cultural projects worldwide. Over its history, Roskilde has raised more than DKK 443 million (over £49 million) to support causes focused on children, youth, and communities.
Signe Lopdrup, CEO of Roskilde Festival, explains, “At Roskilde Festival, we aim to lay the groundwork for a brighter future by inspiring hope and action for new generations.” This year, participants can expect a rich lineup of interdisciplinary art and activist-led workshops, installations, and talks, creating an immersive experience that goes beyond music.
New Ticket Options for Roskilde Festival 2025
