FENDI Men SS25 – Nostalgia and Modern Luxury at Milan Fashion Week

FENDI Men SS25 – Nostalgia and Modern Luxury at Milan Fashion Week

As FENDI’s centenary approaches, Silvia Venturini Fendi, Artistic Director of Accessories and Menswear, celebrates the brand’s storied heritage while looking towards a radiant future. The Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection serves as a time capsule, weaving decades of Italian craftsmanship into a contemporary tapestry that honors FENDI’s legacy.

Celebrating FENDI’s Heritage

The Fendi SS25 collection pays homage to FENDI’s universal codes, reimagining the foundations of menswear first introduced in 1990. These pillars of style are transformed into sartorial puzzle pieces that redefine contemporary masculinity through the lens of modern luxury. The palette is a dreamy blend of sherbet, mist, ivory, caramel, and buttermilk, accented by soft blues, natural indigo, black, and forest green. This fusion of colors evokes a sense of timeless elegance, straddling the line between sports and ceremony, and conjures the spirit of the FENDI Club – a fantasy crest proudly displayed on breast pockets and buttons.

Masterful Craftsmanship and Innovative Design

The collection’s craftsmanship is highlighted by the Selleria stitch, a technique inherited from Roman saddlers in 1925. This iconic stitch is scaled and reinterpreted across various textures and fabrics, from broken pinstripe suiting jacquard to Japanese boro denim. It adorns crisp wool outerwear and luxurious leather goods, framing each piece with a nod to FENDI’s artisanal heritage. Voluminous silhouettes whisper of bygone eras, seen in ample bomber jackets, fluid trench coats, and three-button blazers paired with slashed, loose-fitting trousers. Innovative details like poplin shirt sleeves that can be worn long or short, twisted polo plackets, and asymmetric silk knits add a contemporary twist to classic garments.

Layering and Accessories for Fendi Men SS25

Layering is key, with pleated shorts, long patch-pocket overshirts, and short summer jackets in tonal combinations of linen, leather, Madras check cotton, and ultralight suede. The accessories collection continues the Selleria obsession, featuring the Peekaboo ISeeU Soft bag, supple diagonal shoppers, the new zippered Baguette Double crossbody, and a patchwork Baguette crafted from colorful atelier offcuts. Whipstitch details enhance the contrast-paneled FENDI Force sneakers, alongside molded lug-sole loafers and slip-on flats embroidered with wax thread or patent leather.

Unveiling the Collection at Milan Fashion Week

The Spring/Summer 2025 collection was unveiled in the expansive Open Studio at Super Studio Maxi in Milan, the first LEED Gold®-certified event space in Europe. Designed by Nico Vascellari, the minimalist set featured six mirror columns, creating infinite corridors and reflections as models traversed the runway. Vascellari, in collaboration with Rocco Rampino, crafted a custom electronic soundtrack with an oscillating, romantic beat that perfectly complemented the airy, daylight setting.
