Lana Del Rey Radiates Romance as the Face of SKIMS Valentine’s Day Collection
Lana Del Rey Skims – Valentine’s Day Collection
In a year where Lana Del Rey has basically become the unofficial queen of everything, she’s now conquering the realm of love and curves as the fresh face of SKIMS’ Valentine’s Day Collection. Lana’s journey to superstardom is like a chart-topping ballad you can’t escape – it’s playing everywhere, even making a cameo on Kylie Jenner’s TikTok premiere of “Let the Light In” for her new lip pencil. After her 2023 tour sold out faster than you can say “Summertime Sadness,” Lana is all set to rock Coachella this summer, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Doja Cat and Tyler the Creator, securing her spot as the ultimate cultural icon.
SKIMS, the brainchild of the one and only Kim Kardashian, has a knack for timing that rivals a perfectly executed catwalk. Lana Del Rey, the latest addition to SKIMS’ star-studded lineup, fits in like the final piece of a fabulous pop culture puzzle. Her collaboration with SKIMS isn’t just a run-of-the-mill campaign; it’s a visual celebration of Lana’s unique blend of retro glamour and Old Hollywood magic.
Launching on January 18th, the Valentine’s Day campaign, captured by the incredible Nadia Lee Cohen, showcases Lana in various lush settings, dressed in flirty lingerie that screams Lana’s signature style. Picture her lounging in velvet pink opera gloves and a lace negligee, surrounded by white cats – the epitome of a proud cat lady. Or envision her rocking a black lace veil and a slip dress with thigh-high boots, a very realistic arrow piercing her chest (courtesy of Cupid, of course). The campaign’s showstopper? Lana inside a giant heart-shaped chocolate box, sporting a baby blue lace teddy and matching giant bows, bringing Lana’s glamorous kitsch to life with a playful coquettish twist.
SKIMS’ Valentine’s Shop, returning after selling out early last year, will offer 29 limited-edition collections. Among the highlights are the Fits Everybody bodysuit, the heart-print Sleep set, and the new Woven Shine dress, all modeled by Lana Del Rey. Given Lana’s track record of quickly selling out her merchandise, these styles are expected to fly off the shelves. The entire collection is available for preview, building anticipation for its official release on January 23rd at skims.com and select retailers, including Nordstrom, Holt, Harrods, Selfridges, Lane Crawford, Ounass, and David Jones.
