Just two years ago the dynamic duo of Denis Caunov and Daria Golneva embarked on a journey to explore their nation’s rich cultural heritage, delicately reimagining its symbols and codes through the lens of contemporary minimalism.
Their latest collection dives deep into a poignant theme: the historical exodus from Moldova. Inspired by the forgotten images captured by photographer Zaharia Cusnir, this collection pays tribute to moments frozen in time, where memories of once-vibrant communities are eternally preserved.
One distinctive feature of the collection is the incorporation of lapels, reminiscent of those used for storing seasonal harvests. These lapels add both function and flair, with snap buttons that allow wearers to customize their look.
In every collection, Denis and Daria reshape perceptions of Moldova’s identity, inviting us to appreciate the hidden gems within its culture. They remind us that fashion can be a medium for preserving heritage and sparking curiosity about our roots, all while championing sustainability and reimagining the future.

The intricacy of the designs and the innovative use of this material called to mind the esteemed high-fashion brand Moncler.
