Bear Witness are a Brighton-based electro-alternative rock duo producing music with punchy melodies, addictive percussion and powerful riffs. Their brand new single ‘Tear My Heart In 2‘ combines hard rock with irresistible beats and a passionate melody that will leave you dizzy for days:
The band – Brothers Matt and Alex Georgiou – teamed up with Grammy-nominated producer Joel Hamilton (The Black Keys, Highly Suspect) and Grammy-winning mastering engineer Adam Ayan to unlock their sound. ‘Tear My Heart In 2’ was remixed by Robin Adams (The Architect), and fuses rock with many other genres, combining growling guitars with alternative R’n’B sampled beats and smooth synths.
Bear Witness have been described as having the soul of Jeff Buckley, the energy of the Foo Fighters, and the musical style of 30 Seconds To Mars. The duo also film, direct and edit all their music videos themselves; determined to create work that is not just sonically exciting, but visually enthralling. Their far-reaching influences include Frank Ocean and The Weeknd.
The last two years have been pivotal for the band, with their last single ‘INSANE‘ recently played on Alyx Holcombe’s ‘Introducing Rock’ show on Radio 1, preceded by a BBC Introducing showcase and two BBC Introducing collaborations (Cover Roulette and Collaboration Generator). They also finished as finalists in the Isle of Wight Festival New Blood competition in Summer of 2022.
