Madison Beer is an out of this world popstar in her new single  “Home To Another One”

Madison Beer home to another one

Words: Rachel Martin

Two years since she released her acclaimed debut album Life Support, Madison Beer is in her element with her latest single “Home To Another One,” out everywhere today (June 2nd). “Say you hate me / it’s okay boy / you’re not the only one,” Beer sings as the track takes us on a journey of a scorned relationship weaved through dreamy contemporary production. In less than three minutes, “Home To Another One” is like a perfectly crafted pop cocktail– it packs a punch lyrically but goes down smooth with Beer’s velvety soft vocals, something that’s become somewhat of a trademark for her. The track itself is a bit of a departure from her previous work, proving that she’s evolved as a songwriter, but still staying true to her pen and vision for herself as an artist. “The energy of the song is something like I’ve never done,” Beer states about the track. “It’s really true to meAnd I feel like even though you can hear those influences that I love so much, I do feel like we still really made it (very) Madison.”

“Home To Another One,” and its accompanying out of this world music video come as Beer announces her sophomore full-length album, Silence Between Songs, out everywhere September 15th. Paying homage to some of her favorite artists such as Lana Del Rey, The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Tame Impala, writing this album was a way for Beer to explore themes of growth and introspection. “Those moments in between the noise is when you’re able to reflect,” she says. “I was able to look at things with a better perspective. That’s where these records came from. There are some serious songs on the album that are about really emotional and personal things to me…”
