Halsey returned today with a surprise release of a solo version of their hit song, “Die 4 Me.” While the original 2020 version featured Post Malone and Future – this time round there’s a clear shift in narrative.
Released by popular demand, the new version of “Die 4 Me” showcases the raw emotion and vulnerability that listeners first fell in love with and the reimagining looks set to be yet another huge hit!
In Halsey’s own words:
“It’s been long known in my fanbase that there’s a demo of ‘Die For Me’ with just me on it. I performed my verse on the tour all summer long and since so many people have asked for it, I decided to put my full version out as ‘Die 4 Me’…Big big thanks to @postmalone @louisbell and @future for having me on the original release and co-signing this version finally seeing daylight.”
Halsey has achieved so much, from amassing over 50 billion global streams to having four different songs hit 1-BILLION streams on Spotify but undoubtedly their work to support disenfranchised youth, women’s rights, mental health, and the LGBTQ community far outshines any streaming numbers we could quote.
As Halsey prepares to headline the iconic Primavera Festival in Spain this year, fans can look forward to more incredible music and creativity from this talented artist.
