Central Cee displays his range in new track ‘Me and You’

Words: Miles Holder

Central Cee saw huge success in 2022 with his single “Let Go” massing over 217 million streams. Today, he is back with a new romantic single “Me and You”. The new track showcases his softer side as he declares his loyalty to his loved one. Produced by EY and co-produced by Razor, features an expertly chosen sample from American singer songwriter Donell Jones’ “Shorty (got Her Eyes On Me)”.

With his worldwide smash single “Doja,” fully taking over TikTok, Central Cee saw his popularity balloon to new heights throughout 2022 and he also made history as the first British artist to have a video produced by Cole Bennett and hosted on the Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel. Cench became the first UK artist to have the most streamed hip-hop tune globally on Spotify in a single week thanks to the song’s over 450 million listens. Doja made Central Cee the first UK Solo artist to receive a platinum single in France and peaked at #2 on the UK Official Charts.

Central Cee’s future sure does look brighter than ever as the new age of UK hip-hop fans eagerly await a new project, which will follow in the footsteps of his previous successes. He has more than cemented his position within the modern UK hip-hop landscape and we’ll wait in baited breath for what he’ll do next.
