Marie Lang wants you to get out of your “Comfort Zone”

Berklee graduate and Pat Lok collaborator Marie Lang arrives today with a charged R&B ballad “Comfort Zone,” the first single from her debut EP due out this December.

Going through adolescence in the early 2000s, it is no surprise that Marie’s melodies pay subtle tribute to her childhood idols Destiny’s Child and Lauryn Hill. Marie’s female energy stems from her own upbringing as the daughter of a single mother, which she channels into “Comfort Zone.” Portraying femininity in all its shapes and nuances, the track gives a glimpse into the balancing act of a young woman seeking her path through her 20s while chasing dreams and getting caught up in one or the other relationship.
