A slow, rousing trap beat anchors Jeida Woods’ latest single “LVESCK.” The Zambian born, Sydney based singer, songwriter, and producer’s music is dark and decadent, focusing on stories about love and loss. The 21-year-old Woods introduced himself earlier this summer with his debut single “Selfless” and his second offering “LVESCK” is a worthy follow up.
The visual for “LVESCK” is equally as heart wrenching as the song. Filmed while Jeida was in New York earlier this year, it serves as a perfect accompaniment to Woods’ dark, moody R&B.
Of the clip, Jeida says: “The video for ‘LVESCK’ happened quite randomly. I was chatting with Zachary Dov Wiesel (the director) online and I happened to be over in NYC, where he lives, so the timing worked out perfectly. We wanted to create a video that has a different aesthetic and also have a story to showcase the darkness of the song. I came up with the idea of having a girl that was “faceless” throughout the video to highlight the anonymity throughout the song’s theme.”
