Dive into Cathedral Bells’ new dreampop single “Heavy Rain”

Meet Cathedral Bells. The solo project of Matt Messore, Cathedral Bells was born out of a move back to Messore’s hometown of Cassadaga, Florida where he leaned into creating DIY pop songs out of his bedroom. Today he shares a new single “Heavy Rain,” a deeply texturized dream-pop number that’s a soothing to listen to and sprawling in composition.

“Sometimes loneliness can feel like it’s raining down on you and there’s such a storm of emotion, you wonder if anyone can understand,” Messore says of the track. “Heavy Rain,” is the second track in a collection of singles that will ultimately comprise Side B of a debut LP due out early 2020.
