Rising Swedish pop artist Ellen Krauss today shares the vibrant surrealistic music video for her single “On The Bus” with us exclusively today. Directed by Gemma Yin, the clip is a self-described “hyper-charged daydream,” which serves as the perfect accompaniment to the song’s summery guitars and Ellen’s delicate vocals.
Director Gemma Yin says of the video: “We wanted to make a vibrant video for ‘On the Bus’ to compliment Ellen’s colourful style and personality. She had seen a summery collage animation that she loved so we ran with the idea of shooting her in still photography sequences before deconstructing the imagery to build our own unique world of surreal collage. We meander between recognisable elements from the story of the lyrics and random things from Ellen’s imagination.”
Ellen will be releasing more music throughout the year, with her first EP currently in the works. She’s also just made her US live debut recently in Los Angeles at the Hotel Café.
