FAULT Magazine Reviews Sibling LFWM AW/17
So London! So LCM! Every body’s favourite rambunctious trouble makers, beloved for their cheeky irreverence, arresting designs, penchant for semi models, and last but never least, all those moments of genius! And as LCM graduated to become LFWM, so too did Sibling graduate: from high school rebels, to the Freshmen Class of 2017’s coolest kids on the block.
The Sibling duo’s AW17 collection (bringing together both men’s and women’s), was a romp and stomp of joy; a celebration of life and London life in all its diverse glory. Dubbed “fit for all Windsors” the royal style of Princess Di, was mashed up with Barbara Windsor’s loud and proud persona (not that an excuse for Cheetah print is necessary). The legendary Pearly Kings and Queens were also subject to Sibling’s adulation, and incorporated throughout the collection of signature ‘no way no how your gran’s’ knitwear, which was accompanied with refined yet modish sportswear (with a twist ofc), and also elegant yet electric tailoring, perfectly vibrant, that will suit perfectly for London’s legendarily fabulous night creatures. And not that a Sibling collection ever needs ‘more pow’, but the designers are ever ones to outdo themselves: patterns and colours were inspired by Gaudi!
We smiled. We swelled with pride. Sibling have stepped into new territory this season, taking a new tack yet staying true to themselves; like proud aunts and uncles, we await eagerly for more!
