Fault Magazine @ LFW – BACKSTAGE BEAUTY WITH CARLY HOBBS

It all kicked off beauty-wise with Teatum Jones with properly cool braided/parcel bun hair, pastel Aztec nails and naturally hot make-up.

Bianca Tuoui used Bumble and Bumble Prep on the model’s hair, dividing the crown up into braids, messing them up and then pulling them all together on the top of the head. The plaits were then secured with black elastic, parcel style.

Nails wise, Imarni used Essie to create a talon trend inspired by one of the Aztec lace prints on a Teatum Jones dress. Working on a natural shape, she used Blanc, a strong white all over, then painted the lines on free hand using two shades Angel Food and Au Natural – soft pinks and nudes. Pretty.

And make-up, done by Andrew Gallimore for Mac, was set to represent a girl dripping with swear against a backdrop of an evangelical Baptist church in Southern America. Very Nina Simone. Very transparent, fresh skin, with sheen where necessary, glossy eyes and fake sweat droplets stuck on at random.

Over at Felder and Felder it was all about the hair aka The Young Bardot styled up by Armin Morbach, Global Ambassador for Schwarzkopf. He created big, just got out of bed waves, then backcombed at the roots before blending the volume into the hair line, adding Schwarzkopf got2b Rise n’ Shine Hairspray, to make the roots of the middle parting darker.

And over at PPQ locks got in on the action as well, using Toni & Guy and Label M it was all super, super sleek straightness with shimmering, mermaid like glitter painted directly onto the roots. Fun.
