DIESEL BLACK GOLD BRINGS VINTAGE NEW YORK BACK TO LIFE

Of all of the shows that took place during Day 6 of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall 2012, DIESEL BLACK GOLD managed to upstage the rest with a dangerously romantic show that took on a life of its own. A who’s who of the fashion world gathered at PIER 57 in Chelsea to take in a show that was reminiscent of a pre-Giuliani NYC – the grit & grime of vintage NYC came to life as the stunning creations came down the runway. Theatrical yet wearable, deconstructed yet refined, & more so than anything – irreverent, revolutionary, & absolutely fearless. The flawless VOGUE JAPAN Editor Anna Dello Russo & I were the last two guests to run into the show – needless to say, we both elbowed our way to the end of the runway & watched an unforgettable show.
