Grinderman – Split Up

Grinderman for FAULT

Nick Cave has confirmed that Grinderman have officially split. Cave stated: “That’s it for Grinderman. It’s over” he said. He further goes onto say “See you all in another ten years when we’ll be even older and uglier.” Shortly after the announcement was made the band walked off stage. As yet there has been no follow up announcement from the Grinderman camp. Grinderman was formed in 2006 and featured Cave and three additional Bad Seeds band members, Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos. The group released their self-titled debut in 2007, their sophomore effort ‘Grinderman 2’  was unveiled in 2010. The band was nominated for three ARIA Awards this year including ‘Best Group’ and ‘Album of the Year’. Check out FAULT’s interview with the band HERE.
