Ultrasuede in Search of Halston

Ultrasuede in Search of Halston was just released this month on DVD. The biography was made by Filmmaker Whitney Sudler-Smith and looks back on the career of Fashion Icon Halston. Halston dressed some of the most glamorous women of the 1970s. Clients included Elizabeth Taylor and Jacqueline Kennedy.  The designer also left his mark on the fashion industry as the creator of Ultrasuede, and was a fixture of the New York nightclub scene. Halston sold his fashion empire and in 1990, the revolutionary designer died of AIDS at age 57. Interviews in the movie are conducted with friends, critics, collaborators and show a complete picture of the man who changed the face of modern day fashion.
