Francesca Woodman Exhibition – San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

Francesca Woodman

30 years after Francesca Woodman’s death, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art has drawn from the private collections of Woodman’s family to create the largest exhibition of the artist’s photography to date. Included in the exhibit are many images that have never been seen previously. The influences behind her work range from her idol, fashion photographer Deborah Turbeville to the Victorian literature that was her favourite reading material. The exhibition which started this week runs until February 2012.
