Shiny Eyes- Givenchy SS 12

Women have become renowned for their obsession with decorating the eye- from simple flicks of mascara to the more recent trend of unusually positioned eyeliner, but have you ever considered sequins to adorn a woman’s lids?

As beauty-trend discussions for Spring Summer 12 are now heavily under way, it became apparent to me that Givenchy are breaking the fail safe eye liner that has been seen elsewhere, and have instead approached the method of attaching shiny craft like objects to the face. Bearing in mind that there was a real mermaid essence being explored at the Givenchy SS 12 show (again, a theme that was reflected on each Givenchy invite), the new eye adornment fitted. It encouraged the same flicker of light that the scale like blazors and evening dresses created.

But this isn’t one of those trends that was used just for the show, I can honestly see this transpiring to the high street. I guarantee by New Year’s eve there will be women all over the world with tiny shiny sequins popped just above and below the eye.
