Hailee Steinfeld for Miu Miu F/W 2011

It’s not unusual for a Young Hollywood icon to headline campaigns for major fashion houses (Dakota Fanning and Kirsten Dunst immediately come to mind). Now another name can be added to the list of pretty young things who have managed to snag their own campaigns: Hailee Steinfeld.

The fifteen-year-old actress rose to stardom after earning an Oscar nomination for her performance in True Grit. She has since solidified herself as an up-and-coming fashion icon, thanks to her impeccable styling, something that did not go unnoticed by Miuccia Prada. Rumor has it that Miuccia became enamored of Steinfeld after seeing her in a striped dress from Prada’s Spring/Summer 2011 RTW collection at the SAG Awards. Steinfeld was then invited to Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter show in Paris, and the rest—as they say—is history.

Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot were the duo behind Miu Miu’s most recent campaigns, but—for their Fall collection at least—the fashion house decided to enlist the help of legendary photographer Bruce Weber. Instead of perfectly-posed models and deep, saturated colors, Weber’s shots appear youthful and nostalgic. In the recently-released campaign preview, Steinfeld looks like an Old Hollywood ingénue, an image that is reinforced by the trackside location.

Here’s to hoping that the rest of the campaign looks this great!
