Palaceer Lazaro is one multitasking Music Artist. Lazaro also known as Ishmeal “Butterfly” Butler is a member of 90’s Rap trio Digable Planets, frontman of the hip-hop group Cherrywine and last but not least he is the man behind Seattle’s experimental rap project Shabazz Palaces.

Shabazz Palaces is the duo of Palaeer Lazaro and Tendai Maraire. The group have released 2 ep’s Of light and their self-tiled Shabazz Palaces. The band have a much-anticipated new album “Black Up” coming out May 31 via their new label Sub Pop. The group released a new single last week from the forthcoming full-length called An Echo from the Hosts that Profess Infinitum. The band will be performing at SXSW this week at Sub Pop’s showcase. Shabazz Palaces new track is definitely worth a listen and the group are FAULTS ones to watch in 2011.
