Design Collaboration: Emma Watson + Alberta Ferretti

Alberta Ferretti is going green, thanks to a recent collaboration with British actress Emma Watson. The eco-friendly capsule collection—aptly labeled “Pure Threads”—features five pieces, including two dresses and a pair of denim shorts. All the garments are made from organic fabrics like cotton poplin, cotton muslin, and hemp, and boast delicate, feminine touches of lace embroidery. The collection was designed with the image of a 1970s Jane Birkin in mind, which seems a perfect fit for the light, breezy pieces the duo created.

Prices range from $345-$1,173, with a  portion of the proceeds being donated to People Tree, a non-profit organization that Watson has collaborated with in the past. The collection will be available exclusively on the Alberta Ferretti website beginning on March 21, 2011.
