Beauty Buzz: Emma Watson + Lancôme

Emma Watson has done it again: The young actress can now add “Lancôme Brand Ambassador” to her ever-expanding résumé. Watson set the rumor mill abuzz by posting a series of “riddles” on her Twitter page over the weekend, all of which hinted at her involvement in a new project. These rumors were confirmed today when both Watson and Youcef Nabi (the President of Lancôme International), spoke out about the company’s decision. Nabi was quick to point out that Watson’s “charm,” “romanticism,” and “incredible modernity” would come together to  bring a “fresh spirit to Lancôme.”

Watson was also chosen to front the campaign for the fragrance Trésor Midnight Rose; previous campaigns for this fragrance have included beauty icons like Kate Winslet and Isabella Rossellini. The starlet also recently signed on to play the role of Samantha in the film adaptation of Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Add to that the pending release of the final installment of the Harry Potter series, it would appear that Watson’s plate is nearly full. Realizing this, the actress has decided to take a semester off from her studies at Brown University, a decision that will put her plans of earning a college degree on hold for a short time. Regardless, there is no doubt that Watson’s star will continue to rise, both on and off the screen (WWD).
