Esra Røise is a freelance illustrator based in Oslo, Norway. After studying for two years at the Einar Granum School of Art, Røise went on to pursue a B.A. in Visual Communication at the Academy of the Arts in Oslo. Her work incorporates both graphite and watercolor, and her hyper-realistic images are rendered in a fresh, loose style that is both charming and aesthetically pleasing. Røise finds inspiration in small, “unimportant everyday situations,” snapshots, “awkward moments,” and imperfections. Although Røise’s work is most frequently featured in fashion magazines, she has worked for a wide range of clients, including American Airlines, Founders & Followers, and by:Larm, an annual music festival/conference that takes place in her native Norway.
