Spring 2011 Trend: Pattern Play

As fashionistas the world over prepare to descend upon New York City for the beginning of Fashion Week, I am huddled in my dormitory, dreaming of Spring. After enduring over two straight months of record snowfall and below-freezing temperatures, I am more than ready to toss away my parka and gloves and slip into the bright, bold colors and patterns that defined many of the Spring 2011 Ready-to-Wear collections. From Alexander McQueen’s raffia-trimmed brocade to Prada’s frenzy of stripes, nothing is off-limits.
