Exhibition: “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty”
The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute is set to recognize the late Alexander McQueen with its newest exhibition, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty. The exhibition will celebrate McQueen’s many extraordinary contributions to the art and craft of fashion. From his post-graduate collection of 1992 to his posthumous runway presentation in February 2010, the exhibition will bring together approximately 100 of McQueen’s most iconic designs under one roof.
Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty will run from May 4, 2011–July 31, 2011, and will be housed in the Met’s Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Exhibition Hall at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
