Shane’s questions to Adrian…

1. If you were ‘Mary Queen of Shops’ what advice would you give ‘Adrian and Shane’?

I’d suggest that you sort out your website. Stop procrastinating and get some work done … oh, and keep your fingers out of the till.

2. What piece of our art do you think is a good representation of ‘Adrian and Shane’?

It’s very hard to choose just one piece. But, maybe “Photobooth 2005”. I think it sums up what Adrian + Shane are about.

3. My ‘saturday morning tv kids show’ question…  If ‘Adrian and

Shane’ were going to do a collaboration with some other artist who

would it be and why?

It would have been amazing to work with Lee (Alexander) McQueen. I’ve always been blown away by his work. He was a proper genius. Unfortunately, a collaboration with him will never happen.

4. apples or oranges?

I eat lots of apples, but oranges are nicer. It’s upsetting when I spend time and energy peeling an orange to discover that it’s all hard and dry inside. Having said that, I still prefer oranges.

5. give me a reason why we can’t be great artists…

I don’t think there is one.

Adrian’s questions for Shane:

1. If I went on holidays and you had to work with another artist for a month who would you choose?

Eh, you are going on holidays without me!! I don’t think so… Probably Tom Ford though… I know he’s a designer but he’s amazingly talented and a massive inspiration… I also would have said Alexander Mc Queen, bless his soul..…

2. What’s your favorite piece of art by Adrian + Shane?

I really like the ‘adrian and shane paper dolls’ 1999 or the ‘3 doll head’ painting 2009.. maybe “Photobooth 2005”

3. What’s the best thing about working with me?

You are really inspiring and want things to be their best, which pushes me to do my best.

4. If you weren’t an artist, what would you like to be?

A dancer or a fashion designer.

5. What’s for dinner?

Friday night is chips and pizza night.
