Rag & Bone’s 2010 s/s collections is a display of some of the finest cut garments in fashion. The detail and suggested minimalist clothing make this line one of the most wearable out there. The company launched in 2002 has since gone on to astonish us with their immaculate work. Marcus Wainwright and David Neville were recently awarded the title of Menswear Designers of the Year at the 2010 CFDA awards which took place in New York, this month. With a vast number of fans and high profile models supporting the clothing line, such as Jessica Stam, there’s no wonder why their designs are some of the most coveted.
The men’s collection boasts a range of jackets ranging from the leather jacket wardrobe essential to the rather distinct tailcoat. The women’s collection focuses on the androgynous look, providing a number of boyfriend jackets, finely tailored trousers and knitted long Johns.
The line attempts not to regurgitate the militaristic trends of autumn/winter by putting a spin on their designs. Denim men’s shirts cut in the style of a military jacket, the classic trouser roll-up and the lightweight parka all demonstrate that unique edge Rag & Bone bring to their collections.
